2026 Workshops
Following on from the success of the 2025 workshops the intention is run 4 workshops for 2026, 2 during the week and 2 during weekends! Preliminary dates for these workshops are below – confirmation is to come however!
These events will be for HDSA members only and booking is not yet open but save the dates. Please note we will be running these workshops at cost, based on the numbers for attendance, as the dates are confirmed please book in as soon as possible if you would like to go so we can make sure the Workshops are viable (and I know how much cake to make)
Ian McManus
NOW SOLD OUT!!
A Watercolour Street Scene Workshop 10am to 4pm. Ian will take us through a watercolour street scene stage by stage. Bring a packed lunch, tea, coffee & cake included. Price is £30 per person and you will need to bring watercolour paper and paints/brushes.
Workshop 2: Saturday 13 JUNE
Greta Vilidaite
Workshop in Gouache 10am to 4pm. Greta has moved from neuroscience into being a full time artist and works in oils, acrylics and gouache. Bring a packed lunch, tea, coffee & cake included. Price is £32.50 per person, you will need to bring watercolour paper or card, gouache and brushes.
Greta will bring along a reference image, similar to the landscape below that brings out the Gouache and you will paint something like this during the day!
Workshop 3: Saturday 14 SEPTEMBER
Alix Almond will be coming back to the society to walk us through a single colour printing workshop. Alix has provided examples of the type of print that will hopefully be created in the workshop.
Workshop 4: Monday 19 OCTOBER
After a successful demonstration and workshop in 2025, here’s another chance to experience a DJ workshop, this time DJ will work through a seascape similar to the image below
