21st /22nd May 2016 Annual art exhibition

The 2016 art exhibition by the society saw a record number of over 200 visitors.There were over 100 paintings on display of which 11 were sold.
Kay Puttergill, one of our professional members,worked throughout the two days to paint a live scene at the exhibition.
The standard of paintings was very high which made it an extraordinarily difficult choice for the public to vote on the best painting in show.The trophy this year passed from last year’s winner, Mike Brown, to this year;s winner, Sylvia Turner.
Paul Wilkinson, secretary, announced the raffle prize winners (12 lucky people) and gave a heartfelt vote of thanks to everyone who worked hard to make the exhibition such a resounding success! We look forward to our exhibition next year!!
